Community Guidelines - Aevy Video School

Community Guidelines

Your journey to video mastery begins here. We've built a community rooted in respect, integrity, and collaboration.

Welcome to Aevy's Video Mastery School

This Code of Conduct ensures that all members maintain a respectful, inclusive, and productive environment.

All members are required to comply with this code throughout the cohort and at other locations or events. The management will enforce this code, and by participating, you agree to actively uphold these standards.

Code of Conduct

01

Commitment & Participation

Be proactive in your participation. Engage with the content, attend scheduled sessions, and complete assignments on time. Approach challenges with an open mind and a willingness to learn. Prioritize learning and growth.

02

Respect and Collaboration

Treat every cohort member with kindness, respect, and understanding, regardless of their background, identity, or opinions. Actively listen when others speak, and provide constructive feedback when necessary.

03

Integrity and Honesty

Uphold professional integrity. Avoid plagiarism and always credit sources or collaborators. Be honest about your progress, challenges, and needs. Seek help when necessary and offer assistance when you can.

04

Communication

Express yourself clearly, avoiding jargon or overly complex language unless it's necessary for the context. Address disagreements or conflicts through open dialogue, focusing on the issue at hand rather than personal attacks.

05

Confidentiality

Respect the privacy of your peers. Do not share personal or sensitive information without explicit permission. Maintain confidentiality regarding cohort discussions, materials, or any proprietary information. This community is not a public space. However, no one has signed a non-disclosure agreement to participate, and you should not presume anything you say here will remain private, so act accordingly.

06

Channel Etiquette

Use relevant channels for discussions. For instance, avoid discussing off-topic subjects in a dedicated channel.

07

NSFW & Inappropriate Content

Avoid topics or jokes that could be considered offensive, discriminatory, or harmful. Explicit content (NSFW) is strictly off-limits. Avoid spam, rude content, or anything that detracts from our shared learning experience.

08

Continuous Feedback

Accept feedback gracefully and use it as a tool for growth and improvement.

09

Inclusivity

Embrace diversity and actively work towards creating an inclusive environment where everyone feels valued and heard. Avoid making assumptions about someone's background, abilities, or experiences. Instead, ask open-ended questions and listen to their stories.

10

Accountability

Take responsibility for your actions and their impacts. If you make a mistake, own up to it, apologize, and work towards rectifying it. Understand that repeated violations of this code may result in warnings or removal from the cohort.

11

Promotions & Links

Don't indiscriminately share links, videos, articles, or promote other Discord servers. When sharing, provide context. Ensure it adds value to our community.

12

Language

To ensure everyone's on the same page, please communicate in English.

13

Reporting Issues

If you encounter or witness any form of disrespect or problematic behavior, please notify the staff. We prioritize the well-being of our members.

14

Staff Discretion

Our Staff are here to ensure a smooth experience. Their decisions, made in the community's best interest, are final.

Cohort Policies

01 — Name Policy

Use your full legal name as your Discord username on the server at all times.

02 — Profile Guidelines

Your Discord profile (nickname, avatar, status) must adhere to our community standards. If it's deemed inappropriate, you'll be asked to change it. Non-compliance may lead to removal.

03 — Trolling

Any form of trolling is prohibited. Even if you've paid for the cohort, disrupting our community can result in removal. No refunds will be processed.

04 — Refunds

Refunds are available only within the first two sessions of joining the cohort. The cohort is designed to challenge you, so be prepared!

05 — External Groups

Creating external WhatsApp or Discord groups related to this community is not permitted. This will result in a permanent ban. The safety and privacy of our cohort members is of utmost importance to us.

06 — Discord Policy Adherence

Ensure you always comply with Discord's Terms of Service and Community Guidelines.

07 — Sensitive Topics

Steer clear of religious or political discussions, as they can divert from our primary goals. No discussion with regards to the political situation in India. They are conversational blackholes that waste time and productivity.

08 — Discrimination Tolerance

Any form of racism or discrimination in the server or any communication channel will result in strict action & ban.

09 — Safety First

If anyone feels uncomfortable due to someone's messages, especially the ladies in our community, please inform the management with proof. We're here to help!

10 — Transfer Policy

Transfers will only be granted for genuine reasons within the first six weeks of the cohort. After that, no transfers will be allowed.

⚠️ Kindly Note

Violating these rules may result in a ban, and no refunds will be provided in such cases.

In Conclusion

While we could list endless rules, we trust you to be a responsible and considerate member of our community. Uphold the principles of respect, kindness, and understanding.

The goal with this cohort is to learn as well as have fun while doing it.
